We as Members of Christ the King Lutheran visit other churches from time to time.  David, Brandon & Bryce visited the Church of Christ, Bible Class last 10/2002.

Each Sunday brings many past members back to visit.  Sunday, 10/19/03 found Mary and Bob back (on each side of Arlene).  It was great to see you.

Sunday, 9/21/03 was Blue Jean Sunday when we wear our work clothing to Church Service and then perform our maintenance duties afterwards.  Lunch is served along with these activities.  This can be used as a community outreach as well by inviting our friends who have special talents and abilities who could help in our efforts.  All activities require supervision and the supervisory/worker qualities soon show themselves.

Pet Sunday occurs in July each year.  This is a chance for all to pets to the Church Service.  This is always an interesting service to say the least.  But, in the end, we all enjoy that which God has given us to enhance our daily living.

After Service, we have coffee hour in the Social Hall or Outside as weather dictates.  It is a very social time of the week to gather and be God's Family which gives us a full parking lot.

Other events and Outreach to our community of mankind-

During the summer we oversee a state park camp ministry at Bliss State Park, near Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe.

During the winter each major ski resort has a Sunday afternoon 2pm worship service that we support. Our goal is to reach out to

We also are heavily involved in community outreach having distributed over 7000 winter jackets to the needy over the past ten years.

We are also involved with the Tahoe Women's Services, directly operate a food voucher service for the whole North Tahoe area, emergency overnight housing

Represent the Salvation Army assistance programs at Lake Tahoe through our congregation. In short, we see living out Christ's command to share our hearts and talents with those identified as in need, to be a very important part of our identity as a Christian Church serving Tahoe/Truckee.

Christians visiting our area by also 'bringing church to them,' if they are enjoying the outdoors of God's creation at Lake Tahoe/Truckee.

We will attempt to bring a few pictures of all our activities as they evolve.  .

We are always looking for new members through our activities at Christ the King Lutheran, Tahoe City.  There is space on this page for all the positive things that we do, and they will be noted as they occur.
